(French/American born 1934)
Spring in Provence
Pierre Bittar trained at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts, and is recognised as a master of the modern impressionist movement. Amongst many awards, he won the gold medal at the Paris Salon. A book about his life and work was published in 1986 and will be given to the buyer of this fine painting. This is an early work, dating from 1981, the year of his first major exhibition.
