Walter Stuart Lloyd studied in Paris at the studio of Bonnat and at 20 was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists - the youngest member ever elected. He lived at 10 Fitzroy Sreet, London until 1880, when he moved to Bloomsbury Mansions in Hart Street. In 1893 Lloyd moved to 18 Regents Park Road and he stayed there until 1901 when he left London to settle in Brighton. A prolific artist, he exhibited 40 paintings at the Royal Academy. He won a silver medal at the International Exhibition, London, and a gold medal in 1891.
