Grisot was born in Paris and studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts. He exhibited many times in Paris with the "Paris School", together with Raoul Dufy, Villon and Viaminck. His paintings have also been exhibited in Belgium, Germany, Sweden and the United States. He is particularly well known for his paintings, like the example above, of beautiful women in fashionable costume, often at racecourses.
