David Woodlock was born in Golden, Eire, in 1842 but was known as a Liverpool artist. He studied at the Liverpool School of Art and exhibited many works at the Walker Gallery. He was a member of the Liverpool Academy of Arts and a founder member of the Liverpool Sketching Club.
