Honore Cavaroc was an artist and photographer, born and lived his entire life in Lyon.
His father, a goldsmith, enabled the young Honore to study at the Imperial School of Fine Arts in Lyon.
In 1878, he opened a photographic studio at number 6 rue Victor Hugo in Lyon.
He continued painting in the hills and valleys surrounding Lyon, with exhibits in Lyon and Paris salons.
In the early 1890s, Cavaroc rented his first floor studio to his friend and fellow artist Louis Bourgeois-Borgex (1873-1959).
