Honore Cavaroc was an artist and photographer who was born and lived his entire life in Lyon.

His father was a goldsmith and this enabled Honore to study at the Imperial School of Fine Arts in Lyon.

He painted many small outdoor sketches in the hills and valleys surrounding his home city.

Some of this en plein air work was used for larger paintings in his studio and exhibited in Paris and Lyon.
